got assigned in a fandom that i'm (by far) the most prolific author in during the regular year, but my recip had never interacted with any of my fics before, which, ok, not everybody reads everything even in a small fandom, but it slightly concerned me that there might be a disjoint in taste there. but i put my whole pussy into my gift (and definitely avoided DNWs/followed the spirit of the request) and now it's radio silence lol.

(i'm not de-anon'd but i think just due the nature of the fandom it's VERY easy to tell who i am)

If you wrote explicit canon M/F for a 19th century book, then I liked it and commented (two comments now!) but I can see why it's not really vibing with what one usually sees in that fandom.

if it turns out this was all the work of some troll, that'd be really unfortunate and i'd have to apologize to everyone but specifically the innocent victim. it is based on circumstantial evidence, i admit, but the evidence is someone helping their husband nominate great sioux rpf, talking about his AU ideas, him being a first timer, etc. it was reasonable evidence to me and considering the "name names" people seem to want, well. i won't be rejoining that server and understand if people feel like that was a breach of trust (even if i think it's not breaking f'lock) but i say in namespace the same things i'd say on meme. both discussion spaces play into peoples opinions on others. i hope we get confirmation or denial either way.

i was hoping it was some clueless nobody who had wandered in but tbh seeing the actual request--i don't know how you'd get wanting an AU out of that unless you were A) really clueless or B) knew the recip. which, its yuletide, i expect clueless people, but i have difficulty assuming everything on FFA was the work of a troll anti. too many details lined up to where unless the troll was also a member of AAA (or another server where she talked about this) i don't think they'd be able to say things with such accuracy.
usually trolls just stick to "thank you is an acceptable comment"

Challenge: find a way to sort/filter the archive that puts your fic at the top.

(Filtering in a way that makes your fic the only result is cheating.)

For example, my fic is #1 if you sort the fics with the exact same number of kudos it has by number of bookmarks. Therefore, I win yuletide.

I think the mods would strongly frown on that if they noticed. You could ask them, though.
