This year I only managed one fic that I thought was servicable but not anything more. I felt bad about it, until I remembered that my quickly dashed off fics usually tend to do better. And lo and behold, the story IS actually doing fine and the recip genuinely seemed to love it.

(I'll still try to do better again in my next exchange, don't worry.)
