Kittyfic = Reference to http://failfandomanonwiki.pbworks.com/w/page/101645944/Perennial%20Yuletide%20Wankers#KittydeSade
Anyone who takes PHs (or, less frequently, writes treats) without knowing the canon. Fic written for the soul purpose of claiming the author is doing the exchange/recip a favor. The main thing that makes something kittyfic is that the author appears to know nothing about the canon beyond what the canon's Wikipedia page lists.
Buspass = The rough draft version of your fic that you post at the deadline. In the original term, a busspas is a fic that, should you be hit by a bus before 12/25 and therefore cannot replace it, your recip could still enjoy unedited.
More commonly, buspasses are meant to be solid enough that the mods won't yell at you when they go skimming, but isn't the sort of fic you would want your fic to receive when the collection.
Busspass means many different things depending on the author. It may be 1k of a larger fic you are writing that stands on its own. It could be a WIP for a completely different pairing with the names swapped out. It could also be a quickly written 1k of nothing that you will replace completely. The main factor of a busspass is that when the mods skim your fic, there are no glaring [INSERT SEX HERE], idk I'll figure this out later, or lines that don't end mid-sentence the second you hit 1k.
Picklefic = a lazy type of buspass fic that is pure placeholder and which the author never intends to see the light of day.
In the original term, it was imagined that someone copy and pasted the word "pickle" a thousand times. It is an urban myth, but one that feels true. These are the fics that the mods will usually catch during their skimming because they are so obvious. If someone has a 1k gift in the main collection and still gets sent to the PH list after the posting deadline, it is assumed that that 1k fic is a picklefic.
But luckily there's a Wayback capture for kittyfic: https://web.archive.org/web/20160811220948/http://failfandomanonwiki.pbworks.com/w/page/101645944/Perennial%20Yuletide%20Wankers
