Serious question: why? I get how it makes you sad to never get a thank-you, but what about having a no-show recip makes it something you aren't willing to have your name on? Are you afraid that it makes your stats look bad or something?

Seeing the story on their dashboard/scrolling past it on their works list might remind them the recip never commented, which is kind of a bummer.
