They didn't. This is a malicious representation of that conversation. The issue was discussed at a high level and everyone taking part knew (or should have known, OP) that the gist was being loosely summarized only.

I think we should extend some grace to someone who just learned that their personal conversation with an event organizer might have been shared, discussed, evaluated and even heavily criticized in a discord of 100, all of have some kind of power in the exchange scene. This would be very upsetting and infuriating to me too.

I agree, but AYRT is replying to a person who was in the server (who turned out to be more truthful than AYRT). EPH coalie never called the people involved assholes.

Sorry, being more precise myself, I feel that "the mod shared their direct correspondence with the recip (including follow-up)" implies pretty heavily that it was verbatin, which it was not.

Your/recip's responding hypothetical was reasonable, "if the mod shared...". They didn't, anyway.

lmao how can you say this when the mod did in fact copy/paste the recip's correspondence word for word? Both the original correspondence and the recip's response? Why are you caping for them?

After the third or fourth person chimed in to say "yeah I don't think this warrants an EPH" they should have said "thanks everyone!" and left it there rather than continually updating us on developments as they arose.

I'm the person who suspected it was them - I confirm this is my correspondence with the RelationShipping mod. Who signed their email "Mods" and wrote in said email, "all mods reviewed your gift". I see what they did there.

I'd like to thank the mod discord coalies who were honest.

Do you even actually know it was you? I have yet to see anyone confirm this, or even confirm which exchange it was, but you've gone from "this might be me" to "if it was RS, there's a 99% chance it was me" to "it was definitely me" over the course of this thread.

For all we know this is about some random single fandom exchange we've never heard of.

Disclaimer I am not there and have no idea, I'm just looking at the mention of 100+ mods and thinking that seems like way too many mods for it to be limited to our normal BFE range.

I'm not in the server but a lot of servers have a lot of inactive (but potentially lurky) members because they don't actively boot people who've drifted out of the scene.

I think you need to have modded an exchange in the last year to remain in the mod cabal. (I'm not in it myself, and my knowledge might be out of date.)

We don't know if it was them or not, since we don't know who they are!
