Me! I’m probably going to offer Yuletide ones. I tend to request 50/50 but I do steer away from current mega fandoms. I am someone who perpetually requests old fandoms haha

My main gift was a minimum word-count gift that turned out to be from the person in the fandom I don't care for and didn't want it to be. I suspected it was, because they write thin, miss the best parts and focus on the things I don't care about. The story was decent, my praise and thanks were genuine, but the author reveal was an ugh moment. I sincerely wish they would stop requesting and offering this fandom. Please, please, universe, don't let them be my FFFX match? *sacrifices things*

Bulletproof Exchange

Just an FYI for those with fandoms that don't get requested very often, you might want to check out Bulletproof. Signups closed, but treats are welcome. It's an exchange where people request only tropes and pairing type or gen and you can write the fandom of your heart for them, no matter how rare it is. It's a pretty writer-centric exchange, so the only things you can't gift unrequested are RPF, art, and the AO3 major archive warnings. To get an idea of what this looks like, here's the collection and a spreadsheet of requests for browsing

It's recommended to join the Exchanges After Dark discord (18+) to get announcements and such, but if all you want to do is treat, you might not find you need to.

There are stories posted loooong before Yuletide, let's talk Chocbox last year and even before that, still without wrangling despite more stories being added since. I know because I've written and received them, and when you click on the pairing, you get nothing because it hasn't been wrangled yet.

But oy, when I volunteered to wrangle a number of these "needy" fandoms over a year ago, ready to put in my time to help something I get a lot of enjoyment from, I apparently was not suitable, despite some technical experience that really ought to apply and a lot of enthusiasm for getting stuff done. Haha, nope!

Which, fine. But wrangle my fucking fandoms, already.
