Someone should post on the yuletide admin com and ask what yuletide's policies for their mods are.

Because of recent happenings in regards to mod misbehavior in a different exchange, it's come to light that there exists a discord group where mods of various exchanges congregate and mock participants.

I would like to know:

- are any yuletide mods members of that server?

- what are the rules and standards for yuletide mods? Are there explicit rules against that sort of behavior?

- how are emails to the yuletide mods treated? Are there explicit rules about not discussing these with people who are not yuletide mods?

- are there explicit rules about not trash-talking participants, either in private or in semi-public discord servers?

That's what it's being used for. The stated intention (whatever it was) doesn't really matter at this point.

The mods have answered and are going to put out an official statement soon. So I'd say this was a success.

If you actually wanted to do this in a non-shit-stirry way you could say something like "I've recently been concerned about reports of some exchange mods sharing participants' private communications with them to large groups. Do you have any confidentially rules for your team to prevent that?" And leave it there.

Also, cyrt in this thread didn't mods wouldn't reply? they just offered better wording and said the mods were on coal had already seen it either way. Which is probably true, given how quickly they replied. And the mods themselves politely noted that OP could have presented their complaint in a less shit-stirry way and still gotten results....
