Where the fuck did you come up with the dumbass idea that it's homophobic to complain about ATG fic? It's mostly slash fans complaining that their favourites are being written poorly (in a specific way, ie the characterisation is nonexistent and the characters written as generic archetypes) Glurge could mean anything, it's not a direct substitution for ATG. It can also be any two gals for femslash that's written in the same generic manner, though that comes up far less often thanks to femslash fandom being much smaller.

most generic archetypes are written for het fic and hardly anyone complains about it, then it's suddenly ~hot and ~iddy. doesn't matter if your a slash fan, if you use atg your a homophobe. yes even if your gay. internalized homophobia.

FFS, the term got coined because people were having a conversation about how some writers had works where their John/Rodney, Dean/Cas, Clark/Lex were all written exactly the same, and they wanted a shorthand way of describing that particular variant of bad writing. If the original conversation had been about writers using the same characterisation for Harry/Hermione, Dick/Barbara, or Jon/Sansa then it would have been a different name. It's not homophobic to dislike poor characterisation of your faves, and the fact that you alone have decided that the acronym must be homophobic doesn't make it true especially as you don't appear to have a coherent argument beyond "I said so."

What have hot and iddy got to do with it? A2G is about poor characterisation. If you don't know the meaning of a term then how the fuck can you just declare that you've decided it's homophobic. It's not now, nor will it ever be homophobic to criticise slash fic that's written badly, so long as the criticism is about the poor writing, not the fact that it's slash. It could be iddy, or maybe it's rife with purple prose, or it center's around a MartyStu, or maybe it's A2G, they're all different ways of describing specific types of badfic and you don't get to claim that discussing bad slash is homophobic and that everyone has to agree with your idiocy, they don't, and despite your whiny tantrum, people aren't going to go along with your ludicrous beliefs A2G is a descriptir, and using it is not homophobic
