Nothing funnier than someone being confidently wrong. There are multiple comments stating that the collection was anonymous originally, then later they began to reveal. I myself experienced this. But keep dying on that hill!

Nope, can confirm that my gifts were anon when I opened them and only got author names a couple minutes later, while what I wrote didn't get un-anoned. Definitely a glitch.

That happens when very large collections are de-anoned, just like it happens that they don't all change from Mystery Gift to viewable at once.

It's weird that people are arguing that specific point. Reveals and author reveals have been a slow incremental rollout the entire time we've been on AO3.

The mods have specifically stated that the 'anonymous' box was and remains ticked. So unless coalie thinks they're lying, then they're just mistaken. Which is embarrassing.
