Anything that's not badfic is ok with me at this point.

what's your definition of badfic then and does it include "they didn't incorporate 5+ of my likes"

Not CYRT

It would be great if it:
1) Looks like it was proofread at least once after finishing.
2) Actually is about the characters requested and not primarily about a character the author loves with my characters being shoehorned in.
3) Doesn't spring any very much unrequested, wildly out-there themes on me (like, idk, putting the character in a WWII POW camp if it's not a WWII canon, or a 700-word political manifesto about veganism in a canon that is not set in a vegan cafe)

to add to 2): also ideally has more words of fic as opposed to more words of ANs detailing random research and even more random author thoughts within the fic body itself

actually the people who include that many likes are more likely to give badfic because it tends to make the story cluttered and nonsensical

Something that doesn’t suck.

I'm okay with badfic if it's funny. Or if it gets me decent pity-treats.

People absolutely skim collections for fics by the biggest missing stairs like Untherius and Biblioscribler to get their rubbernecking in.

Pity treats is a real thing but it doesn't happen very much in Yuletide because someone would have to see your terrible gift on December 25 and either create something in time to give it to you in Madness on December 26, or give it to you in NYR when it opens on the 1st. Most people aren't quick enough for the former or don't sustain enough energy for the latter.
