For normal exchanges that aren't aestivali's four-year Delay Georg, lul_soulmatesex is going to be delayed at least a month in total, looks like. Repeated delays to fandom5k one year was the reason SweetSorcery and SuzieAnna gained notoriety. And I feel like ficinabox and highadrenalineexchange have both had notable delays?

The other delay georg that could be mentioned (though not technically an exchange) is Fandomgiftbox 2021, where the mod also vanished never to return.

Did people really wait four years for the reveals???? I'd have pulled my fic loooong before then, maybe created a replacement collection just to keep things neat

They had been assigned to each other and got tired of waiting on delayed reveals, so they removed their gifts from the exchange and posted them publicly, as a result got banned, made flouncy posts about it, caused drama, blah blah.

Fascinating.

I can sympathize with not wanting to wait if you know you're mutually matched with a friend, but.... in that case just send each other the gift fics in private and nobody is the wiser??? Publicly pulling the fics from the collection is so unnecessarily dramatic
