I think 3 canons that are actually distinct should be required to get a guaranteed gift in exchanges that currently require 3 requests for a guaranteed gift. If people want to request 3 mild variations on Star Wars or whatever and they're okay with risking not getting a gift, that's fine with me.

IDK, Rogue 1, the Thrawn books, and Bad Batch or something. Sure they're different, but you still need someone who likes Star Wars.

Of course it's not any sort of guideline to use in moderation or even official exchange etiquette.

But as long as we're daydreaming about the platonic ideal form of Good Egg, that's not a terrible thing to put on the list
