Nah exactly.

People have lives and stresses and commenting can be hard! But no one made you sign up, and failing to comment makes the community activity less fun for everyone. It's a minimum obligation that I feel people should actually commit to if they're going to take part, and if they won't, it's very "well, I got mine".

this. plus there are some assholes like flip flop diva who know their not commenting pisses people off and keep doing it deliberately. and they are perfectly capable of commenting when they've been in those "comment or be banned" exchanges. they know what they're doing.

We absolutely don't, but it's a theory people have been trotting out periodically for a while.
