It’s never happened to me, but I use recip in case the recip hates the fic and wants to reject. It’s awkward for everyone involved if a rejected gift has “I hope you love this, kelli24546!”

Also some recips are insane and run to coal if you have a generic "Happy holidays" or whatever on a fic where they feel you went ODAO. By not specifically indicating the comment was directed at them (or saying nothing at all) you have given further proof you posted drawer fic.

It's partly because we're smaller. Partly because most of the least chill people in fandom refuse to go in unmoderated spaces anymore - what if they saw something hateful and couldn't go yelling to Mod??, so the people left here are mostly the ones who actually know how to self-mod and not encourage trolls.

And clicked it to see what the rating is and stuff and I saw the fic I wrote (I was logged in) and was like "oh right. The one I wrote for that fandom. That I posted today. How did I forget"
