I was struggling with my ending too because the conflict was like... let's say, Bob wants to ski, but he's afraid of skiing, and I had to figure out a way to make it so that he makes the characterization jump to go skiing (he gets encouragement from his friends, he takes skiing lessons, etc.). And the ending isn't necessarily him skiing, it's him standing on the edge of the mountain wearing skis, so it's still thematically full circle.

If you mean, you've written for them previously in yuletide and then again, do not mention that. If you mean, you've written two different fics for them in the same yuletide, I would personally also not mention that, but I think it's probably neutral to fine to do so. If the two fics are directly related, like one is a sequel to the other, or a parallel narrative, I would mention it, because people other than your recipient might want to know they come as a pair.

I'm cool with people having no letters and blank ao3 profiles, but it's weird to me when they put literally nothing in the signup form. Like one year I just had a list of four fandoms, they'd requested any character for all of them. That was it. The whole thing.

That is so frustrating. It would be nice to at least get one clue out of the various ways they could leave one. I suppose it allows you to write whatever you want but it's so much nicer when you can brainstorm something from prompts/tags/preferences.

I have a long letter that gives lots of options about what I like. It doesn't have to match one of my prompts, but if it's nothing I said I liked, I probably won't like it.
