Ugh, I don’t know how to end this fic. Coalies, what are some quick and dirty tricks you use to wrap up a plot when on a deadline?

Character realises something and then their development is complete. Thematically appropriate ending line. Done.

I was struggling with my ending too because the conflict was like... let's say, Bob wants to ski, but he's afraid of skiing, and I had to figure out a way to make it so that he makes the characterization jump to go skiing (he gets encouragement from his friends, he takes skiing lessons, etc.). And the ending isn't necessarily him skiing, it's him standing on the edge of the mountain wearing skis, so it's still thematically full circle.

Coming full circle is my secret trick, whether thematically or plot-wise or in terms of imagery or whatever. If I can't figure out an ending, that's what I do. Sometimes I will even adjust the beginning so the circle is, uh, more circular.
