They're 100% baiting with it too:

Personally, my reservation about automated art comes from the instant gratification of “making” it
I’m not gonna go full “the Industrial Revolution and it’s consequences were a disaster upon mankind” here but it’s kind of scary thinking about how much less satisfying being creative will be in the future

Kinda surprised no one got on my case for paraphrasing Ted Kaczynski

Like, their brain went "oh no, 10 min passed and no one realized I was talking about Ted my love. I must point it out to them!"

What the actual fuck is up with this person. Time to yeet.

And they're so obsessed with him that even a relatively common phrase must obviously be a reference that everyone would instantly clock.

nothing you said was unique enough to register as specific to him, lmao

Not even the “the Industrial Revolution and it’s consequences” bit?

Nah, I work in sustainability, lol, I hear people talk about the consequences of the Industrial Revolution all the time
Maybe the phrasing is specific to him but I can't say I memorize quotes by him well enough to pick them up

And they also seem to think that immediately prior to the industrial revolution we were hunter gatherers? Because we apparently went from spearing mastodons straight to coal-powered factories

What a strange person.

They're really big on pointing out when they thought chat should have dogpiled them, like they were hoping for it?

I was kind of expecting someone to call me out for dragging math into a convo about shipping, even in a joking context

They're definitely baiting. And then when their bait doesn't work they point out their bait, which is just more bait.

A lot of their posts read to me like they're anxious/catastrophizing every chat interaction, and perseverating on getting mean comments/harassment. (Although maybe they just want attention and I'm being too charitable.)
