okay, the FAQ says autocomplete doesn't work for a bucket list, but... autocomplete is working for my bucket list? Should I trust it?

I think the bucket list autocompletes for tags that are already canonical. So if you're requesting Knives Out (2019), that'll autofill for you, but if you're requesting some commercial with no fic written for it, then it won't. It's drawing from the AO3 canonical tags, not from the Yuletide tagset.

Worldbuilding was nominated for several other books I'd be interested in writing for, but I haven't seen letters for them yet.

I'm perplexed by the request for 'Phedre's Younger Sibling' in Kushiel's Legacy. This 'character' only exists in canon to the extent that it was mentioned Phedre's mother was pregnant. (The mother gets a paragraph of canon.) Idleflower has plenty of interesting ideas about who that sibling might be; she's essentially asking someone to create an OC to explore aspects of the world. I view it as an oddly roundabout Worldbuilding request.

It's weird to me to see the Poppy War at the top because I could write that, I guess? But I wouldn't enjoy having it as my main assignment as much as the other things I'm offering. I guess I could pick up a pinch hit if my main assignment really surprises me.

Epistolary/IF Question

If you asked for epistolary fic from a canon that traditionally accesses such thing on tablets, would you enjoy a fic that was IF-ish, with a kind of index set up to look like the tablet menu? Or would you consider that unprompted, opt-in IF and be annoyed?

Exchange is not Yuletide, with an IF opt-in challenge, which I would consider a hard no if they didn't post there.

The fandom I have been watching like a hawk for a letter I could treat finally has a letter that isn't an id mismatch! I am so excited to treat this one yessss.

(Also in general the early signup period was making me super pessimistic about my goal of doubling my treating output this year and I am no longer pessimistic at all and have two treats already underway and several more percolating in the background and I am so psyched!!!)
