What do you hope your writer picks?

(Anonymous) 2019-11-05 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Are you equally in favour of all your picks, or there certain fandoms/prompts/etc. you're hoping for most? Are there things you picked just because you had to complete your entry? Are there things you regret picking and now you hope they don't write it?

I’m pumped for all my requests, so I hope someone looks at them, can’t decide, and writes me treats. I am greedy!!

I have one fandom that I added to my requests because it's super obscure and I hadn't expected anyone to nominate it. I'm not *as* enthusiastic about it as the rest but that's only because its portion of my letter hasn't been marinating in my head since noms started. Like 8/10 enthusiasm for this request, 10/10 for the rest. I hope I gave them prompts open-ended enough and compatible enough with what they were hoping to write because I'm the only request and they're the only offer, so it's very likely we matched on that.

I love them all but I do have a favorite, and it's the one you'd probably guess is my least favorite based on my letter.

I genuinely want all of my fandoms pretty close to equally, but I do have favorite prompts. My fandoms are all so small, though, that if the fic plays into my likes even a little, I'll be over the moon.

I love all of my prompts, and will be so happy to see something based on any of them for my small fandoms. That alone will make my holidays.

That said; Yes, I want my non-canon OTP just a bit more than anything else, since it's unlikely to be written outside of Yuletide.

I would be equally happy with all of mine, but I feel like I like them in different ways. Some are very id-ficcy and I want it to fulfill shippy or tropey or I-relate-to-this-person reasons, whereas some are very intellectual and more like "wouldn't it be cool if this idea got explored". I honestly wouldn't be disappointed by anything though.

This year I only made 4 requests I’d genuinely be happy to receive AND thought there was a good chance someone would write the kind of story I wanted. Two of them, there’s really only one kind of story to be told with those canons, one is a super specific idea with minor characters (so the person has to be invested), and one is open-ended in a rising canon so I’m guessing it’ll be that one, or else possibly a treat (I don’t have great prompts, it’s just the kind of thing people pick when they want to write in a fandom and get some notice via YT).

I'd go catatonic with happiness if they wrote dirtybadwrong porn for this Problematic Hatesex pairing in one fandom (and would expire for the full threesome), though I don't really expect anyone to fully Go There with them, and I'd be ecstatic with porn in general for any of my fandoms. That said, all my fandoms are pretty small and pretty iddy to me for one reason or another, so honestly: no serious SPAG or characterization issues and I'm there.

I don't think I know how to Yuletide correctly, because I am actually way more excited about the fic I'm writing than the one I'm going to get. I threw together some requests and they're fandoms I'd enjoy reading in, but I kind of don't care which one is picked or if the fic is good or not. I just want lots and lots of great comments on the fic I'm going to write. That's what will make or break my Yuletide. (And I will absolutely, certainly be gracious and leave a lovely, grateful comment on the fic I get; I may not Yuletide correctly, but I'm also not an asshole.)

There's one fandom I hope they don't write and I hope the person who wrote a much better version of my prompt for that fandom that included a whole bunch of things I didn't know I really wanted until I read it gets their prompt written instead.

I'm desperately hoping for the fandom I requested last Yuletide too. I wasn't able to stay online to wait for the sign-up summary to update one last time before closing, so I missed that there was actually someone offering it. I'm so upset about that; if I'd seen that in time I would've deleted my other request that had an offer, just to maximize my chances. Don't ge tme wrong, it's not that I don't want that other requests, it's just that the other is extremely rare and I've never seen anyone offering it before.

It depends on what they feel like writing. If they feel like writing gen adventures or something based largely on the characters having sex, Fandom 1. If they feel like writing about relationships, Fandom 2 (narrowly over Fandom 3). If they want to go completely wild and off the rails, that is why Fandom 4 is on the list.

I have a very slight preference for Fandom 4, but I love wild and off the rails.

I will be absolutely thrilled with any of my fandoms. Truly, I view them all equally and I hope I expressed that properly in my sign-up. The only thing that could disappoint me is if they were to off-road it and choose to go entirely ODAO (even though I don't think that will happen since my prompts and DNWs aren't crazy out there).

I really, really want everything I requested, so I hope my writer writes whichever of those things will make them the most happy.

I love all my fandoms, but I do have one with no fic for my faves whatsoever that I'm very unlikely to get outside of YT, so I'm kind of hoping for that. (The offers count went up after I published my letter. It's not a completely unfounded hope, okay.)

I also added a prompt for my medium-for-YT fandom that I never asked for before and probably never will ask for again because it's very specific and very out there. I don't expect to get it at all, but would it make my YT if I did, gosh.

There's one fandom where I'm going to be really disappointed if I get the same navel-gazing introspection the fandom seems to be keen on for two of the characters I requested. I want something with at least a bit of a plot for them.

Other than that, I'll be pretty happy with anything in different ways. I have two fandoms with zero fic where I'd be delighted to get something because they're so rare. I've got two fandoms with very little fic so far, and what there is is about pairings I don't ship and characters I don't care for. And the last fandom is my main fandom, where I will read pretty much anything.

Equally in favor of everything, so in my heart of hearts I hope I'll get a fic for all of them.

I love all my fandoms, but the one I want most is the one that had no offers. :( Somebody please write my OTP.

I love all four of my fandoms and all of my prompts, but I would really love a first time story for my super-rare pairing that nobody's yet written. I don't think anybody offered the fandom, but maybe a passing treat writer will take pity on me....

Re: What do you hope your writer picks?

I'm equally in favor of all, I was going to request 4 fandoms but cut it down to 3 so that no matter what I'd be over the moon about what I received!

Re: What do you hope your writer picks?

(Anonymous) 2019-11-05 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I think I am about equally excited for all of them. Two are fucking amazing canons that just had recently installments, so I am super hyped about both currently.

The third is the canon I am also writing for, so I'll be revisiting it and in the mood for it. What my recip wants is pretty much the opposite of what I want, so after trying really hard to write them something about the part of canon they care most about, I would be very happy to sink into a story about the part of canon *I* care about.

No lose situation here, basically.

I requested six, wish it could have been eight, and I'd love any one of them.

I had some smut request but mostly requests for friendship/ship/gen that I'd love as well.

There is one fandom that's not really on AO3 that I have a ship I love like burning. But if I don't get a story in that one, I'mma write it myself. :)

i'm really hoping for either:

1. filthy fic for one of my fandoms
2. that someone fulfils my crossover pairing dreams
3. i get a fic with a timeloop
