Yep, been there. (In particular, turns out asking for supernatural elements in Yuletide makes a lot of people think of Christmas Carol and Wonderful Life retellings! Which is something that on receiving one in a past Yuletide I was like, "...Okay, I guess this is on me, I can totally see how they got there," but also I really dislike that kind of 'character development via supernatural intervention' trope and just never would have made the connection and thought to DNW it.)
