I would make an exception for stuff like fixing typos/SPAG errors, and also for accidental DNW hits that are easily edited out, but IMO an extra 400 words is going too far.

400 words is easily within the realms of “oh shit I uploaded the wrong draft”. Depending on the length of the fic, I’ve increased my word count by that much just fixing awkward phrases and tense slippage, let alone adding extra scenes.

It's when you start adding multiple thousands of words to the revealed draft that it's an issue. OP was trolling.
