I don't know. I feel like you can fully understand how bad, for example, Uncle Garage is going to be within about as much time as it takes you to go oh damn, that's some bad art. It takes longer to read the entirety of Uncle Garage, but more than a paragraph or two is just rubbernecking.

This is fascinating, because they clearly had intentions behind this story. The meandering authors note makes it clear they think they're doing something here. They're familiar with the canon. And yet it's complete and utter dogshit.

I have never heard of this and have never seen the canon but just reading the first sentence of the a/n made me laugh IRL

Man, it takes longer to just *scroll past the author notes* of that one that it does for me to glance at a piece of bad art and say oh that's bad art.

In fact I actually have no idea how good or bad the actual writing is in Uncle Garage because I glanced at the first entire screen of author notes and decided nope not worth the scroll to find out.

The writing in the fic is just as bad as the writing in the a/n, so if the a/n made you go "wow, this is trash" then yeah... you accurately judged the fic.

Having scrolled down a bit more, the writing the a/n is considerably better than in the fic for some reason, so I actually would have completely misjudged!
