What do you think it means then? Sincerely, please give me a definition that will let me write this person a good fic about this character, because I would honestly like to, but I really can't make "character swaps their gender" feel like not DNW violation.

You know, you can always have the mods ask for you if you're that pressed about it and actually believe it's a case of not editing boilerplate DNWs where warranted. But in any case, I would consider making a canonically genderfluid character cis genderswap, not having a canonically genderfluid character gendering fluidly.
