I know what I'm writing, I just need to finish canon review and get started, and I don't wanna, but I'm quickly running out of don't wanna time :(

ok between this and one of those “when you see this go add words to your wip” memes I was able to summon the executive function to open a new gdoc and write the opening sentences of a yuletide fic, go me

YEP. I've been working on another exchange (of course, it due after yuletide because i can't prioritize appropriately), and was like welp, need to shift focus RIGHT NOW

If I haven't hit the halfway point by midnight, I'm abandoning this and banging out 1500 words of gen fluff and posting that. That will then hopefully make me feel so ashamed that I actually finish the fic I meant to write before reveals and swap that in.

Crossing fingers for you! I was feeling this a few days ago, but I got past the reveal in my casefic, and now I just have a couple of wrap-up scenes to go... I think I can make it.

Good news: just finished canon review!

Bad news: ugh now I'm outlining and this story is going to be so much longer than I usually write for yuletide ugh now I actually have to write it ugh

I have an opening paragraph but my idea requires me to figure out Plot and so far I only have vibes.

I'm not close to finished and I've never, since I started doing yuletide, had so little free time to dedicate to 1. Thinking about fic and 2. Writing fic. I haven't defaulted because I honestly think if I pull some long nights I'll finish, but my god will it be close. And no way I'm getting any treats done this year, which will be a first, and makes me sad :(
