Or you know, you could game for blank sign-ups if people knowing what will make them happy and what won't is so unpalatable to you. Problem solved! You don't have to deal with that kind of thing anymore and everyone else doesn't have to deal with you.

Something tells me that if they got a blank sign-up, they'd wank about their recipient not giving them anything!

This is the wankiest possible way to be outraged that a lot of exchange participants enjoy having guidance in what their recip would enjoy, but not being forced into it. How very dare.
