My first yuletide, it was a five-minute-fandom-type canon. I put it into an rpf setting because at the time I pretty much exclusively wrote rpf and didn't even know this is something a lot of people in fandom don't like.

What does this mean? I'm very familiar with rpf. But what is an rpf setting for a five minute fandom?

It was the kind of detail-light yuletide "fandom" that needed a bit of worldbuilding to make it possible to write fic: situating it in a setting, making up characters etc. Instead of inventing a character I used an existing minor celebrity as the protagonist.
