Would you rather have a perfect fic in a fandom you've gotten several good fics for in the past, or a mid fic for that request you keep putting in ever year and never get?

Perfect fic. I am the 2000 cakes person who will always be happy to get more of the same, and while a mid fic for a rare request would still be great to get, that would be a one-off enjoyment at the time of the exchange whereas the perfect fic I could enjoy coming back and rereading over and over.

the former. i wouldn't keep requesting the thing if i didn't want the thing, even if i've received it often before, so a better fic is a better fic.

Perfect fic. If I requested it, I really really want it, whether I've gotten it a dozen times or never, so the best possible fic is the option I'll take.

Perfect fic. All I really want is more perfect fic for my fandoms and ships. Mid fic is not going to hit to the same level at all.
