(Anonymous) 2025-10-29 05:12 pm (UTC)(link)No. "Any" is fine when they actually *want* any. That's it. That's the condition. It doesn't matter how many nominated characters the fandoms has or if the sign up is blank.
"Any" is not fine when:
- They use it because the character they want is not nominated.
- They DNW characters / combinations of characters that have been nominated.
- They make clear that they actually want A, B and E, and couldn't care less for C and D.
Every time I matched to a sign-up requesting "any", it was one of those cases. Every. Single. Time. (Including this year. So I feel particularly frustrated right now.)
