The recip's response to the mod's refusal was posted here, so, unless their first mail had a completely different tone, I struggle to see what they could've said that would warrant these reactions, even if the coalie posting these here has the most malicious of editing intentions. Even the most direct "I don't want my gift, it bashes blorbo" should get an eyeroll at worst. Tell them it's not possible, say it doesn't warrant an EPH, don't act like this is a fun groupchat with your buddies where you'll punctuate each sentence with a cat pic or a meme.
