This isn't the most egregious line but I'm just stuck on those 18 +1 emoji reacts. That's the kind of echo chamber BS that would make me quit exchanges if I found out about this as the recipient (especially without knowing who the 18 mods are exactly). Or quit modding exchanges if I joined that server and discovered this kind of wanky rubbernecking about myself or a friend.

I'm really disappointed that there wasn't more pushback against this.

I'm not even the recipient but reading that did really sour me on exchanges as a whole if this kind of echo chamber, which is obviously hostile to participants and considers them base line nuisances and has no shame about expressing it, is organizing them.

Yeah it makes it feel like mods run things for social clout and not for any other reason you’d think to run an exchange.

But, not all of as are in the server. I mod like one regular exchange and a few flash ones and I’m not in it. I suspect most mods who run multiple regular exchanges a year are probably in it, but those of us who aren’t career mods are more likely to be left out.
