mods: After reading the story, we feel that it doesn't stand alone; it relies heavily on the reader knowing the Sherlock Holmes canon, which is not Yuletide eligible.

nominator: I hope I can persuade you to change your minds and approve the nomination - or failing that, at least to more clearly articulate how this decision aligns with broader Yuletide policies.

SA also, I love that the mods clearly articulated why it’s not Yuletide eligibility. It requires Sherlock Holmes knowledge which is way too big for Yuletide. The would be requester then asks the mods to explain why it’s not Yuletide eligible. Amazing.
