endearing promo posts

I lowkey love this promo post for "Titanic 1997":

Prompter feels the need to point out that the film is based on a real-life event, in case someone doesn't know (fair enough), but then ... also doesn't actually say what the real-life event is!

On the flipside, they also don't say what the movie is about, except that it's about "a historic event" (see above).

I also cannot quite tell if they are interested in the movie or in historical RPF? Maybe they think those are pretty much the same? It does really make me want to read their letter, though.

endearing in a different sense: I enjoyed this promo for A New Leaf, a movie that I've already seen and like for all the same reasons as the prompter: a heartwarming black rom-com about planning to marry rich so you may murder your wife. Yeah, exactly! The murder plans get somewhat elaborate! And yet it is very sweet!

I laughed at: Content warnings (ie, rape, incest, racism, gore/violence): The subject of murder is continually brought up throughout the film, but there is no violence shown.
