you're too nice. i just write g-rated works if i match with someone who clearly only wants porn

if you want it so bad, sign up for a smut exchange. it's so fucking boring to write

This attitude is so alien to me because I can’t be bothered writing something I know the person would dislike. It doesn’t take me that long to write ~1.5k of porn.

if they dislike everything except porn, it's on them

Right, but writing is effort and writing something that the recipient won't like just feels like... pointless effort. I don't need to make it perfect, but it really feels like - why bother.

same for me. so when my options are writing something i find boring - which is worse than hating something - which the recipient might either like or dislike, or writing something i enjoy which the recipient will probably dislike, i take the second one.

It depends. If you can't write porn and don't want to lose your chance at your own gift, you're going to write something lower rated. I've matched on people who only wanted explicit underage in exchanges that didn't match on ratings or tags and I'm ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. They got what I was in the mood to write at the time. If they hated it because it wasn't explicit underage, I say again: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
