I don't think this has got to be your fault
It's just - antis? I'm not even sure we're using the same definition of antis, but this seems like a really broad generalization for a bizarre circumstance.
It's weird enough that you're getting any straight pattern of awful gifts for a decade straight. Most of us getting bad gifts are just getting A Story In Which Nothing Happens.

(Anonymous) 2024-11-01 12:32 am (UTC)(link)I think what I recognize in that vent is that there are, in fact, a lot of people in fandom who have headcanons/kinks that are pretty dark, really (often things that, when you think about it, are clearly non-con/abusive/manipulation and so forth) but who see them as wholesome and romantic. These people are not necessarily all antis, but there's overlap because they are typically the ones who struggle the most with admitting that they, too, have fucked-up fantasies.
But there are "proshippers" who do this too - there's this one guy I used to share a fandom with who is definitely not an anti but who kept swearing up and down that the one thing he wouldn't ever write or read is intergenerational incest because it was his hard DNW ... which I took at face value until I went to his AO3 and realized he'd written more than half of the stories for an adoptive parent/child ship. Like, I mean, good for him, and the fic wasn't half-bad, but the mental disconnect was so puzzling to me.
