I've had just as many noncommenters who wrote long detail-filled letters. Some people really want their writer to know all their deepest desires and they won't comment in return.

These kinds of noncommenters chap my ass the most. All that effort for signing up and you still can't write a quick comment when your gift comes along???

Especially the ones who are super active everywhere else, including chat, interacting with the people who gave them gifts.

I know in some cases they also wish they weren't that way and it's probably the tip of the iceberg of a lot of other things they're struggling with, but I don't have to pretend it's fun to write for people who do this.
