If you want to write it, that's certainly your prerogative, but you aren't framing it in terms of what you want to write or your attachment to the canon. You're framing it in terms of teaching someone a lesson. That is bizarre.

A person is certainly welcome to switch between general you and specific you at will in a single paragraph with closely related topics, but I myself wouldn't do it and then cry foul when misunderstood.
