Maybe a 5 minute fandom - 6k words, sci-fi short story Calf Cleaving in the Benthic Black by Isabel J. Kim - https://clarkesworldmagazine.com/kim_11_22/

It's definitely FF (the protagonist & her girlfriend), but while the author has written Korean-American protagonists in her other stories, I don't remember if this one is explicitly about WOC or just non-specified.

nvm i just realised it has zero requests. I think there was one but it looks like it disappeared. Sorry!

A) oh noooo I didn’t realize the request disappeared :( I wanted to treat it!

B) isn’t the main couple het? (Reread just now because I wasn’t sure myself, and while it’s never explicitly specified that Mica is a man, it ends with Mica assuming Alex’s identity and biosignature to sneak him past the authorities, which I don’t think would work if Mica wasn’t a man…)

Oh my god i didn't even think of that, I just assumed she was a girl!* The name Mica is pretty much female only in my language, but I see now that it's unisex in English. (Also Seam also offers to swap the info with hers and get in instead of Mico, so I didn't think the gender mattered!). Anyways, 0 out of 3 of what you were asking for... Pretty impressive on my part lol.

*I think there's like 5 or 6 short sci-fi stories in the tagset and with the exception of this one, all others have female protagonists iirc
