Huh. My reading of "nonconathon" was always "marathon, but for noncon".

That feels like a straightforward reading because similar spins on 'marathon' exist elsewhere - e.g. hackathons.

I guess you could make the case that this is also graphic, but I always read it more in terms of the event itself rather than describing scenes written for the event.

Y'all, ”ficathon" has been a common term for exchanges since before yuletide existed, this does not require a deep investigation

Yes? I read that the same way, but "fic marathon" hits differently than "noncon marathon".
