How do you suggest I as another exchange mod avoid interacting with them at all short of preemptively banning them, which is what this subthread is about.

This thread's talking about the exchange experience for other participants, not the mods. If you're going to be precious about potentially interacting with participants and their dodgy nominations, don't become an exchange mod.

No one is stopping you from banning whomever you want! But I thought we were talking about yuletide, where the mods have not banned them.

How do you know the mods haven't banned them? It looks like the last Yuletide they participated in was 2018.
