?? They're glad they're picked up. There's only an insult here if you're determined to read one in. "I am glad I'm claimed" is not injurious to you.

Except they didn't actually say "I'm glad I'm claimed", they said what was originally quoted. Which was, I must agree, unnecessary for the people still on the list.
