I was going to say I caught a bullet, because all the other requests in the fandom I matched on are so much better than what I got.
But I just found a request in another fandom I offered that's literally three words, and one of them is 'DNW'.
So I guess I'm in the middle!

I like it, and since it's likely the last year this fandom will be eligible for Yuletide, I'm happy to have one last go at writing it. Not the current hyperfixation I was hoping to write for, but maybe I'll treat if the season doesn't get too overwhelming for me.
Not obviously. And I'm still getting kudos/comment emails. I guess it doesn't really matter.
My assignment is fine, but there are a few I could've matched to that I really wish I got. Perhaps treats will be made if I have time.

Dodged three bullets. My assignment isn't great but it's good enough. There were also five better ones I could have matched on, but I'm fine with how it worked out.
Same boat except the fandom I dropped because of a nightmare letter had a number of other requests but only one I could have matched to, and that one would have been my dream assignment.
this is why we told you not to ask

Pretty good! Towards the top, really. My recip seems a little bit picky, but nothing I can't handle, and it's a fandom and pairing I've really wanted to write. I didn't game beyond not offering many fandoms, so I lucked out.

"Turn off emails from collections." is a separate setting from your kudos and comments emails.

Most of those are completely new accounts who probably have no idea about the setting, and I saw from ffa that the mods contacted people in that situation so they might flip over their settings later on in the exchange.

I believe saving a gift for them as a draft is in fact the way to check if they have gifts disabled. I haven't tried it but I've seen it mentioned in other exchanges. Just be sure you only save it as a draft and don't accidentally post it for real.
You know, "see letter for an explanation of how this DNW works with my prompt" and then the letter is googledoc that literally just has the words "the placeholderrrr" in it, or something like that

Tangent but I was the coalie asking why you can't ask for Any characters and then put in a DNW for exactly one of them - on the basis that your author has to offer two so you still have an overlap on the character remaining.

Maybe coalie can still write the remaining character and I hope they come up with an idea they like, but I hadn't taken other prompts and id mismatches into account. Maybe it would universally be fine for people to DNW one character out of any IF there was a low risk of other clashing preferences, but when you also might see the remaining character a different way... No, I get it now.

3. Sort them in sequential order from "would like to treat the most" to "would be least likely to treat".
