Went "What???" in disbelief, googled this, first thing that came up under 'People also ask' was "Are Wario and Waluigi dating?" Glad to know people are out there asking the important questions.

I think the problem is that there is a sharp pro/anti-genocide divide and a sharp pro/anti-trans divide, but most people fall down on meh when it comes to one dude setting out to kill one rich immoral fuck and killing exactly that dude and nobody else, so it's unlikely to kick off a fuss.
No, the divide is sharper in my experience there too, I'm seeing a big difference between the "Free Luigi, hero of the people" and "All violence is bad, he's a murderer" that I honestly hadn't really expected.
