You can write a decent 1k fic in less time than that - even two hours - if you have a clear idea of what you're going for and you let it rest to polish it a bit later. Which just illustrates how arbitrary it is to make hours a meaningful measurement.

I kind of like this idea but also I worry that if I posted a short fic, it would make it even less likely that I'd actually finish my long fic idea.
Me, 5min before the posting deadline: eh, no rush, I still have a minute and forty seconds before I have to get started
Personally I'd hate to click a fic with a bunch of interesting incest tags and then be disappointed when it all turns out to just be platonic gen like the OP describes.

Unnervingly enough, my assignment is done and posted bar additional tags. I'm normally frantically editing/adding a bit in the last hours before collection opens so this is really, really weird for me. I can actually work on a treat...

tbh, I think you're lowballing the time for tags. That takes at least another two months for me...
tbf if your recipient didn't request him and you wrote about him for no damn reason you'd probably get a slap on the wrist at the very least.
