Not the only one, but character-based vs relationship-based matching probably helps skew it further towards gen than many other exchanges.

I think it's great. Big fan of the huge amount of gen to read. It's the reason I always try to participate in Yuletide.

Yeah as someone who primarily writes/requests gen, Yuletide and FiaB are my two big exchanges (idk what other very gen-friendly exchanges exist, I guess worldbuildingex? Multifandomdoodle is gen OW heavy. Jukebox? Not sure about jukebox.)
