If I was her, I'd just leave and try again. There's really no brazing out "I lied repeatedly on coal and elsewhere for attention" especially when people are spreading the word in the exchange community.

Has anyone mentioned it in namespace yet or just ffa/coal for now?

The problem with predictions based on people's levels of shamelessness in a situation is that people with normal levels of shame don't do this stuff anyway? So who knows.

But at least people will probably stop engaging other than to point and laugh.

Yeah. I think before there were a number of people who would engage to defend them because it seemed like they had a weird troll. But now that it's confirmed the weird troll is then there's nothing to engage with.

There's a frozen comment on ffa "at this point you're way more annoying than they are" and it's giving me retroactive dramatic irony schadenfreude or something. Actually they are equally annoying! Exactly the same amount! Twins! Even more than twins! Genetically identical.

I have no idea why this is cracking me up so much but it is.

To be fair I also found the self-trolling much more annoying than the "I'm such a cute wittle nervous ingenue" routine.

As someone who already believed she was self-trolling, I didn't know if I wanted to laugh or cry when I saw that comment. I wanted to say something, but I also didn't want to get frozen. Every time nonnies defended her as a poor newbie who was targeted by a creepy troll I felt so frustrated.

That was the point of the trolling, though. Say something mean about yourself and get strangers to defend you. We've watched that play out before, including Ms.Scribe and more recently the persephones_keeper self-suicide baiting. I'm positive other people have done the same and convinced anons they had a stalker or BEC troll, but they didn't get caught.

Her writing is kind of shit = it's more believable that a troll with a hateboner keeps bashing her for it.

On the other hand, recognising that your own writing is shit takes self-awareness.

Not if you're deliberately trying to make it lackluster for the bit.

This is the second time I fell for a wanker's self-trolling on meme. Clearly I'm too gullible. :(

Don’t feel silly. The trolling was deeply unpleasant, and worth pushing back on. It makes the whole space unpleasant. But also, you were yelling at fishspeakers even while defending her, so she got some of what she deserved for that behavior.

Thank you! To be honest, I was trying not to get mad at the nonnies who defended her because I could see why they didn't notice the patterns. I happened to have a lot of free time lately, so when I was lurking on Discord I saw her seeking attention in namespace constantly and then the very unnatural wank that kept starting on FFA. I told myself that if I had been busy IRL, I would have only seen the weird trolling and nothing more.
Basically, it took another currently unemployment person to see the unemployment troll. I'm glad now everyone else can see it too!

If I were her, I would delete my account while I still have a tiny shred of dignity left.

And nothing of value would be lost lol.
