One of the PHs was on my longlist for possible treats, but in between the Discord notification (which I did see when Morbane sent it out) and when it was taken (30 minutes or so later) I was sufficiently distracted editing a different treat to miss claiming it, lol. Oh well, I'm sure there will be other options closer to the deadline!

Out of curiosity, I went to look at what dates PH #65 (the latest one available) popped up in previous years, and compared them to when assignments were sent out/when the default deadline was/when stories were due in those years. So from 2017 onwards:

2017: Assignments sent out 10/11, PH #65 sent out 12/5, default deadline 12/11, stories due 12/17
2018: Assignments sent out 10/21, PH #65 sent out 12/2, default deadline 12/11, stories due 12/17
2019: Assignments sent out 11/5, PH #65 sent out 12/9, default deadline 12/11, stories due 12/18
2020: Assignments sent out 10/26, PH #65 sent out 12/1, default deadline 12/11, stories due 12/18
2021: Assignments sent out 10/24, PH #65 sent out 12/3, default deadline 12/11, stories due 12/18
2022: Assignments sent out 10/23, PH #65 sent out 11/30, default deadline 12/11, stories due 12/18
2023: Assignments sent out 10/22, PH #65 sent out 11/26, default deadline 12/11, stories due 12/18

So the days it took between assignments going out and PH #65 coming out are as follows:

2017: 55 days
2018: 42 days
2019: 34 days
2020: 36 days

A few days earlier than last year, at it turns out, but not the earliest ever!

CYRT I am so impressed by your analytics. Also, in my head, assignments go out so much later than they used to, so it’s helpful to know that they haven’t gone out in early October since 2017.

That's neat! I think it's also relevant to account for how many pinch hits were in the initial batch. This year we started with 40, which is the highest I can recall.

Oh, great point, coalie! Breakdown of IPHs per year:

2017: 18
2018: 24
2019: 20
2020: 32
2021: 38
2022: 34
2023: 40

Which means #65 this year was the 25th pinch hit after initial pinch hits came out. Using that as a baseline metric, the 25th post-IPH pinch hit for each year came on:

2017: 12/1 (51 days)
2018: 11/28 (38 days)
2019: 12/7 (32 days)
2020: 11/29 (34 days)
2021: 12/3 (40 days)
2022: 11/30 (38 days)
2023: 11/26 (35 days)

Damn, that's a long gap in 2017!
