oops haha, well I guess it's a classic for a reason. Part of the whole trope family the other coalie (you?) alluded to by talking about other kinds of cover-ups that eventually make something worse.

Oh you're right, I was just amazed that I remembered that movie at all lol

And yeah that was me! Anything military is gonna be a mess of cover-ups imo, successful and botched, all layered on top of each other like a deceptive lasagna. It's cover-ups all the way down! *tips tinfoil hat*
