My assignment is for a kinda-ongoing canon (single installment when I got into it, sequel just released), and my copy of the sequel is in indefinite international shipping limbo. I'm paranoid that I'm not going to get it by deadline, that my fic will contradict it somehow, and that I will therefore RUIN YULETIDE for my recip, even though my recip only prompted for the first installment. This is stupid! This canon barely has continuity! And yet, terror.

dc Well it could be one of my fandoms but (runs to double-check) I said in my request that I hadn't read the sequel and didn't want stuff from it, so it's not me, whew!

This is actually the third time I've either requested or matched on an old favorite canon for Yuletide only to belatedly discover there was new canon I hadn't even known about, it happens more than you'd expect.
