I see my nemesis getting a fic that I love

I guess my 10k letter wasn't enough

And although there's pain in my chest

Yeah? It goes on multiple times about whatever he has going on with a girl named Erin and how she fills him with lust or whatever and how he couldn't be with her. Erin isn't even tagged in the fic even

Erin's mentioned three times and it feels like background to me. The rest isn't shippy, but it's much more about the Father and the vampire.

Crappy fic all round but I don't think "it's about another ship" is the problem.

The fic is so short that his relationship to Erin, which could have been background had there been more to the fic, more of the actually requested ship, does seem like the main ship.

aayrtrt And yeah thats exactly it. If it were a full fic it'd be whatever, background noise. But when everything involving the actual requested ship is so vague as to barely be present, the bits with Erin stand out more and if you were to read it without context, it'd look like the fic was more about the fraught relationship with Erin

DA, but it seems to be in the same vein as canon, where Riley and Erin are into each other and Riley has a textually platonic, twisted mentor thing going with the priest

SC but I agree this feels way more Riley/Erin than Riley/Priest Guy
