And another one!

I see my nemesis getting a fic that I love
And I'm like, "Fuck you"
I guess my 10k letter wasn't enough
I'm like, "Fuck you and fuck morbane, too"
Said, "If I was a long commenter, they woulda gamed for me"
Ha, now ain't that some shit?
(Ain't that some shit?)
And although there's pain in my chest
I still comment it's the best
And runs to coal to shout "Fuck you"

Defaulting

(Anonymous) 2023-10-29 03:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Has anyone else defaulted already? I realized try as I might, I'm not going to be able to write a satisfying story for my recip so even though it's early days I'm out.

I think exchanges are beyond me these days for whatever reason but I'll enjoy reading what everyone else writes and hope I might be able to at least offer a treat or two at some point.

I haven't done anything other than treat for years. I'd rather give a gift than get one anyway, so it's a winning strategy for me. No pressure, and if it just doesn't work out, no one is disappointed other than me.

Same. I like getting the chance to write gifts to prompts in tiny fandoms that people otherwise don't talk about too much, but I just found it too much unnecessary stress keeping up with all the surrounding organisational stuff around choosing offers and writing requests and then maybe having to wrestle with an uninspiring assignment. I'm pretty flexible in what I read, so while it was nice (though still a crapshoot) getting a personally tailored gift, there's usually other stuff in the collection I'm going to enjoy just as much as anything written specifically for me.
